| Welcome! At our Spanish language academy, we offer courses for every level, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. You can choose between full immersion courses, private tutoring, or a combination of both or custom make your package to better suit your needs. We even offer home-stay programs in quiet and pleasant environments close to our school. Our courses emphasize oral communication to achieve specific goals. We offer our students two schools strategically located in the heart of downtown San José or in Guadalupe a short 15 minute bus ride from the capital. We pride ourselves on offering personal, courteous and timely attention to our students, and a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere while maintaining an educational program that’s 100% professional. Not only will you be learning Spanish, but you'll also be learning about Latin American culture. We’ll also be happy to arrange special tours so you can experience first-hand the exotic beauty of Costa Rica, also known as the “Switzerland of the Americas.” Be sure to ask about our special back-to-nature programs. In addition to possessing formal credentials, all New Learning Spanish School personnel participate in an ongoing training program and we perform an extensive Quality Assurance program in order to keep up with the latest teaching techniques. Teaching staff Our teachers have University degrees; they are selected on the basis of their teaching experience and their outgoing personalities. Methodology Our methodology is based on the communicative approach, emphasizing listening, and speaking skills. Reading and writing skills are also taught depending on the learner's individual needs. The classes are well organized, and follow a daily lesson plan. Our goal is to enable you to communicate effectively in Spanish in real life, with hands on experience in daily situations that you will encounter during your stay in the country. Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to interact with locals in daily activities through organized class field trips and more, to better enhance the cultural background and learning of the local dialect. Courses We offer a wide variety of courses from intensive group programs to private tutoring. You can also change the number of hours or days, or customize a learning package to fit your needs. These courses are designed to teach not only the Basic Spanish language but involve the technical vocabulary and contexts dependant on the area in which you want to specialize.
